In 1993, Arjo was listed for the first time on the Stockholm and London stock exchanges. At that time, Arjo had around 1,100 employees worldwide and commanded an estimated annual turnover of SEK1.3 billion.
In 1995, Arjo was acquired by Swedish medical technology company Getinge Group, resulting in the further expansion of its portfolio of specialised medical beds, patient lifts and bathing systems. Arjo thus formed the foundation of Getinge's Extended Care business area.
