The Bariatric loop hammock sling is suitable for assisted transfers of plus-size patients and residents that require full body support during the transfer. It is designed for transfers when the patient is semi-reclined and does not tolerate leg straps positioned between the legs.

Reduced mobility is a significant risk factor for pressure injury development, international guidelines emphasise the need for regular turning and repositioning of patients to help prevent skin damage¹. While a pressure redistribution mattress may enable the repositioning regimen to be individualised, regular postural change is still important but not without risk to the patient or caregiver.

The Loop repositioning sling assists the caregiver to move or reposition the patient in bed including turning to and from the prone position and lateral transfer from one flat surface to another. It may be left under the patient between transfers (if clinical assessment allows).
