As mobility declines, caring for the resident becomes more challenging and the risk of complications of immobility such as pressure injury increases. By supporting their individual challenges, and recognising that loss of mobility can have a big impact on the resident’s independence, bed features can help the resident maintain some control.
• Simplified hand control enables capable residents to change their position when required, promoting independence and reducing demands on carers• Combined with the AtmosAir Velaris® mattress, instant step up to alternating therapy can be achieved just by adding the pump without any need to move
the resident and change the mattress
• Under bed clearance is compatible with a range of Arjo lifters and standing and raising aids to help with care activities
- 4 large castors with central brake to facilitate in-bed transportation
- Choice of split, telescoping side rails or 3/4 folding rails
- Footboard with accessory bar. Mattress pumps can be attached so hooks do not protrude into the bed space
- Battery back-up so the bed can be operated even if temporarily unplugged from power source
