Integrated system for high dependency patients
Citadel Patient Care System, built upon a universal platform and designed to transition from a non-integrated to an integrated system, provides flexible patient care for hospitals that demand safety, security and efficiency from their medical bed frames and therapeutic mattresses.
One system. Multiple acuities.The bed frame is the centre of patient care during their stay in the hospital. It is an essential tool which may help promote rehabilitation while helping to reduce patient or caregiver injuries. Both the bed frame and mattress need to work in harmony throughout a hospital and across acuity levels to provide support for the patients and clinicians using them. Citadel has been designed and built for this purpose.
The benefits of integration
Integration provides communication between the bed frame system and patient therapy system which delivers:
• One button CPR which delivers the CPR mode simultaneously to the mattress and the frame
• Automatic pressure compensation in the seat section when the head of bed is adjusted
• Restricts turning when the head of bed exceeds 30 degrees
• Restricts turning when one or more of the side rails is lowered
Additionally, the paired therapy system and bed frame offer bespoke mattress and frame design to help address entrapment concerns that result from using a frame and a mattress from two different suppliers.
INTEGRATED WEIGHING SCALE
Digital display weighs up to 270 kg (+/– 500 g). Patient weight is visually displayed for 10 seconds only to help protect patient dignity.
VARIZONE PATIENT MOVEMENT DETECTION SYSTEM
Can be set to alarm and detect when undesired movement of the patient occurs.
ANTI ENTRAPMENT SYSTEM
Detects obstructions under the sleep deck during bed articulation and stops the downward movement of the bed.

Provides visual alerts:

Brake status
Bed height

Citadel can be articulated into a chair position lowering the legs and abdomen to help improve patient comfort.
