Disposable bariatric loop sling
The Disposable bariatric loop sling is suitable for assisted transfers of plus-size patients and residents that require full body support during the transfer. It is designed to accompany a patient throughout the hospital stay and can be used in exactly the same way as standard bariatric slings but it cannot be laundered.
Caring for plus-size patients is a substantial and increasing challenge for today’s healthcare providers. This is especially so in the hospital environment, where the increasing population of larger patients places considerable pressure on available resources and the need for care to meet the unique needs of this patient population. This sling is designed for the assisted transfer of plus-size patients and residents with limited ability to move and require full body support during the transfer. It can be used with Arjo bariatric passive lifting devices to transfer patients in a seated position to and from bed, chair, bathroom, wheelchair, and on floor.
As single-patient use, it reduces the risk of cross-contamination and can easily be disposed of if soiled, damaged, or suspected of being contaminated. Always on hand for the caregivers, disposable slings do not need to be sent away for laundering; so there’s no need to worry about lost or damaged slings. Using a strong and soft premium fabric the slings are available in 4 color-coded sizes at a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 454 kg (1000 lbs).
This sling should only be used together with Arjo passive lift systems (loop attachment) in accordance with the allowed combinations page on the specified section of the Instruction for Use.
