Bariatric loop comfort sling
The Bariatric loop comfort sling is suitable for assisted transfers of plus-size patients and residents that require full body support during the transfer. It is designed with extra padding in the most stressed areas to enhance patient comfort.
Caring for plus-size patients is a substantial and increasing challenge for today’s healthcare providers. This is especially so in the hospital environment, where the increasing population of larger patients places considerable pressure on available resources and the need for care to meet the unique needs of this patient population. This sling is designed for the assisted transfer of plus-size patients and residents with limited ability to move and require full body support during the transfer. It can be used with Arjo bariatric passive lifting devices to transfer patients in a seated position to and from bed, chair, bathroom, wheelchair and on the floor.
The bariatric loop comfort sling provides reinforced material and stitching in the most stressed areas of the sling including the shoulder and legs. The extra padding promotes additional comfort on delicate skin and the leg piece reinforcement helps to prevent leg roping, reducing the risk of skin damage.
This sling should only be used together with Arjo passive lift systems (loop attachment) in accordance with the allowed combinations page on the specified section of the Instruction for Use.
