ANZ: VTE 101 - Back to Basics


Overview: This webinar will provide an overview of the pathophysiology of thrombosis and describe the risk factors that may lead to venous thromboembolism (VTE). Dr Hsu will also discuss common signs and symptoms of VTE and insights on how to approach VTE risk assessment and explore preventative measures to reduce its incidence.

Consultant Haematologist

Dr Danny Hsu is a clinical and laboratory haematologist based at Liverpool Hospital and the Southern Highlands Private Hospital. He is a sitting council member of the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Society of Australia and New Zealand with a strong clinical and research background in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis. In addition, Dr Hsu is also the Director of Therapeutic Apheresis and the Clinical Lead of Immune Haematology at Liverpool Hospital.
