One of Nobuaki Nakanishi’s main driving forces is developing good relationships, and he finds it very rewarding to see them grow. Today he works as a Sales Representative at Arjo in Japan, focusing on creating beneficial collaborations with customers, helping them to improve clinical and financial outcomes.

For Nobuaki Nakanishi, a day at work is all about people – customers as well as colleagues. As a Sales Representative, his role is primarily to connect with both new and existing customers, and partner up with them in finding solutions to their mobility challenges.

“My top priority is getting to know our customers and find out what they need and how we can help them. After a while, I can feel that the relationship develops from a strictly business approach to a more open and relaxed discussion around common goals. It is also highly satisfying to see how our solutions contribute to a better life for patients and staff. All this gives me a lot of positive energy and motivation going forward.”

Nobuaki and his colleagues also take good care of their internal relationships.

“In the team, we are very open to sharing insights and solutions with each other, and also to help out on solving problems. We discuss both missteps and success stories, which is a good way to learn from each other and build a One Team spirit.”

He tries to pay special attention to junior sales people, helping them get up to speed by sharing product and installation information, as well as coaching them on sales tools, methods and how to grow good relationships.
